On October 1, 2025, we said farewell to Jane Goodall, a scientist recognized worldwide for her dedication to primates, an tireless activist, and a compassionate leader who inspired generations of children, youth, and adults in the defense of biodiversity.
In 2023, we had the honor of welcoming her to the Kaarimã Village, in the Xipaya Indigenous Territory. The presence of this brilliant woman, whose life was marked by the ability to transform and touch people and institutions, remains as a living and inspiring memory for us.
The Juma Institute bids farewell with deep sadness and stands in solidarity with her family and friends. Jane left behind precious seeds that will continue to germinate, bloom, and bear fruit in the struggles and dreams for a fairer world in harmony with nature.
